Russell Giovenco

This is Russell but he goes by Russ. He works for Kendall Auto in Eugene. He grew up with a bit of a rough life so he has always been a hard worker and hasn’t been without a job in 15 years. He likes to think of himself as an outspoken person. In his free time he likes to do a lot of different things like listening to music, fishing, and watching sports. He also enjoys riding mini bikes with his son Donovan. He is a family guy and likes to spend time with his family.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have your typical suburban family. I’m married to my wife, and we have 3 kids together. 2 boys and 1 girl. We love to spend time together watching sports and working on cars and we camp a lot during good weather.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I work for Kendall. I enjoy fixing things. I like the fact that if there is something wrong with something I can see the value in it because I know that I can fix things that most people can’t.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
New China Sun, New York Gyros, Sy’s Pizza, and any local taco trucks.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved here when I was 19 so its been 16 years.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I would have to say Herman Davis, he’s a good dude.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Zion National Park in Utah, I would want to visit the Grand Canyon.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
For movies I would say Casino, Goodfellas, Don’t be a menace in south central and Nacho Libre. For shows I like to watch jersey shore, sports center, catfish and anything like forensic files.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be nice to one another because it’s free.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To visit Hawaii and Zion.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
No band, but anything Rap or RnB

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Gj’s and Sy’s Pizza

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Marcus Mariotta and we would have to have some good Sy’s pizza because its right on campus.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The hippie vibe, Saturday Market, the Oregon Country Fair.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Owing my own shop. Owning my own home and probably having an RV to travel to different places in.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I like country music and don’t like the taste of beer.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Disney Land! The beach close to there was pretty cool too.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month, July. Favorite holiday 4th of July, and favorite day Saturday for college football.

My family of course, and Berner

Pumpkin & fresh rain.
