Meet Class of 2021 Senior
Tyler Giovenco-VanMeter. He is a student at Willamette High School and lives here in Eugene with his Mother, Step-Dad, and Brother & Sister.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is hilarious. We are always active with projects and we are always giving each other a hard time.

What are your plans after graduation?
That is a hard decision I am still trying to figure out. I am thinking I will either attend Lane Community College, or I have also been thinking about going into the Army. I would prefer to be a pretty good distance out of town but not too far away.

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I would have to say Mod Pizza & Johnny Oceans.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would have to say Hawaii because I haven’t been there and I would love to go to a tropical place.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movie would have to be The Notebook and for tv shows I love the national geographic animal tv shows.

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
Definitely focus on yourself, strive for the best you, that you can be and always seek out various opportunities. Find the right person that supports you and make sure to love.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Any show that isn’t dramatic, pays well and is comical.

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
If I could choose anyone, I would choose my future self so that I could ask me questions. I would take myself to Nectar.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
Everyone I know is kind of in a close proximity to each other.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself committed in a career while trying to have my own home and getting out in the world.

What is something on your bucket list?
I would like to travel around the world and visit as many beaches as I can. I would also like to have my future family and my relatives on trips together.

What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
If its a singular artist I would say The Weeknd, if it was a band then I would say Coldplay.

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is January because its the beginning of a new year and a fresh start. My favorite holiday is Easter and my favorite day is Wednesday.

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Pizza

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
I cant wait to be able to go to the gym regularly.

Who inspires you to be better?
Everyone I have around me, friends and family.
